Cellulose has been used for many years. It is an excellent insulation to install in attic assemblies. Cellulose has an additive called Borate that is used in the manufacturing process. Borate is nothing more than a salt that has exceptional deterrence to bugs and insects. Cellulose has an exceptional fire rating as well. Often, salesmen will take a pile of cellulose and put a penny on top. They will then use a torch and melt the penny on top of the cellulose without igniting the cellulose. |
